Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsUnder general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the core measure process. This position is responsible for facilitating to completion and sustainment PI projects, small working groups, and projects to improve the quality of care and value for our patients. These projects and working groups are interdisciplinary in nature. The Quality Coordinator identifies opportunities for improvement based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high risk, high volume and/or problem prone processes. This position maintains multiple databases and dashboards, as well as analyzes complex patient care data for reporting out at leadership levels. Analysis will also incorporate clinical and operational processes and outcomes. Partnership with Riverside Community Hospital departments and management is essential to achieve overall quality goals.You will analyze clinical issues and/or PI opportunities as needed and assist with root-cause analyses and case reviews.You will consult, advise and create quality improvement tools, templates, and methodologies and perform data and clinical analysis about the overall hospital progress on patient and system outcomes.You will educate staff and physicians one on one and in large groups or committees on quality, safety, PI, and regulatory topics.You will identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitor high risk, high volume and/or problem prone processes.You will provide input to Medical Staff, Patient Safety, Quality, and Accreditation activities and work with the Managers and Directors on quality improvements within their departments and units.What qualifications you will need:Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and clinical experience required.Minimum 3 years current experience in quality, risk management or related clinical experience within the acute care hospitals setting required.Familiarity with medical record coding and abstracting processes preferred.Expert knowledge of quality data analysis and reporting methodology pertinent to quality improvement.Superior understanding of core measures - concurrent review and abstraction.Directly related Performance Improvement (PI) experience and knowledge of PI methodologiesKnowledge and prior execution of regulatory standards through the tracer methodology and other regulatory readiness tools and techniquesExperience with clinical databases and data management systems such as Meditech, COMET, CHOIS etc. preferredRiverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901.
