Southland Holdings - Quality Control Manager
Southland Holdings is currently seeking a qualified Quality Control Manager. This position will be responsible for establishing quality inspection programs and processes to ensure company requirements are met. The opportunity is located at our project site in Leadville, CO.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Superintendent on all QC/QA project-related topics.Conduct daily inspections and develop daily Quality Control reports.Review and analyze submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents, implementing established project and company documentation controls.Review, interpret, and analyze contract documents to develop QC procedures and manuals in consultation with the project team.Establish quality inspection programs to meet company and customer requirements.Implement and oversee a systematic quality management system across projects, including water system master plans, water quality studies, and related areas.Manage monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure compliance with quality management systems.Provide guidance to employees within established policies and recommend policy updates as needed.Handle diverse issues requiring evaluation of multiple factors, including current business trends.Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems, potentially with budget responsibilities.Coordinate activities within the department or group, possibly without direct reports.Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of QCM experience, preferably on government projects.
- Over 5 years of experience in Water and/or Wastewater, Concrete, Pipe industries is preferable.
- Willingness to work in a drug-free environment and undergo post-offer drug testing.
- Commitment to safety and OSHA recordkeeping.
- Ability to travel to various job sites.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical and regulatory documents; strong report-writing skills.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and database reporting tools; ability to learn design software.
- Understanding of structural engineering concepts and business acumen related to operating expenses and profits.
- Potential responsibility for directing Field Engineers and QA/QC Engineers.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience/education.
- Experience with Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, and related projects, including proposal development, scheduling, and budgeting.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $75,000 - $105,000
