Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

About The RoleAlpha Hire is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to join a leading company in the underground utility construction industry. The QC Manager will play a critical role in ensuring construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through proactive inspections, process oversight, and team coordination.Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Inspection

Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for utility construction projects.Conduct regular field inspections to ensure work meets specifications, standards, and contract requirements.

• Documentation & Compliance

Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with regulatory codes, client specifications, and internal QA/QC protocols.

• Team Supervision & Training

Supervise and train field staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and reporting protocols.Support continuous improvement through coaching, audits, and feedback loops.

• Coordination with Stakeholders

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to identify and resolve quality issues.Interface with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies during audits and site visits.

• Process Improvement

Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and recommend corrective/preventive measures.Help develop long-term quality improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in quality control within the construction industry, preferably underground utilities.
• Strong understanding of materials testing, utility installation procedures, and QA/QC documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA, local codes, and construction quality standards.
• Certifications such as CQM (Construction Quality Management) or ACI, NICET preferred.
