Quality Control Engineer - Apex Placement & Consulting : Job Details

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Greenfield, IN looking to add a Quality Control Engineer to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to oversee concrete production and quality to ensure standards are met through inspections, testing, and team coordination.Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:

• Complete tasks assigned by the QC Manager.
• Ensure all production follows the company's Quality System Manual (QSM).
• Follow PCI MNL 116 & 117 and ASTM standards.
• Perform inspections throughout production: pre-pour, stripping, post-pour, and finish/patching.
• Communicate between Design Engineers, Production, and QC teams to resolve errors.
• Assist inspectors with design or drafting issues.
• Collect, organize, and track defects and concrete data.
• Complete concrete reports and submittals.
• Review and enforce quality control procedures at all production stages.
• Conduct panel inventory audits.
• Support mix design development and fabricate sample panels.
• Maintain and calibrate testing and production equipment.
• Develop new testing procedures and equipment as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; concrete is preferred.
• ACI certification required within the first six months of employment.
• Experience in material testing or laboratory work is a plus.
• Must Be able to start at 3 am.
