Job Summary

This is a position responsible for monitoring the quality of perishable products in the warehouse on an ongoing basis. The role involves inputting order information through data entry and performing related duties as required. The employee regularly exercises discretion in duties directly related to product quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
  • Check produce in slots daily to ensure products set up for shipping meet acceptable standards.
  • Communicate regularly with relevant parties regarding the company's product quality status.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and Compliance Managers, as well as buyers, to resolve quality issues and ensure high-quality products are delivered.
  • Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, and truck damage.
  • Inspect inbound freight, warehoused, and outbound products, documenting their condition.
  • Analyze and identify solutions to problems related to Quality Assurance.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory policies.

    • Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Experience in warehouse, inventory control, or merchandising roles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective communication, and strong analytical skills.

    Decision-Making Authority

    • Independently verify put-away and transfer processes performed by warehouse personnel.
    • Major decisions, such as addressing shrinkage issues, are made with supervisor review and approval.
