Promotes safety and working safely throughout the facility to prevent injury to self and co-workers, addressing unsafe conditions & behaviors, Inspects work area daily. Adhering to all Silgan Safety Policies & Standards, Silgan Plastics No Tolerance Policy and Product Defense-Security. Reading and understanding all Safety Rules items as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). GMP required gear. Contribute to our Product Safety culture, by following the GMP Guidelines and Good Documentation practices. Being aware of all Emergency Exits and knowing procedures for Emergency Evacuation as well as location of Tornado Shelter and Evacuation Assembly Area. Accessing and searching for SDS (Safety Data Sheets) online and how to utilize properly. Knowing not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to do complete the task safely. Always following proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.
