Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) position is focused on maintaining local compliance with State, Federal, and BrightSpring Health requirements. The QAM provides leadership oversight to operations in meeting their goals and ensures safety and satisfaction for individuals supported.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of operation's regulatory, accreditation, and company requirements.
  • Implement and monitor operational systems/processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and adherence to requirements to ensure quality of service delivery and compliance with requirements.
  • Conduct operation reviews, including Site Reviews, Record Reviews, and other quality monitoring activities.
  • Complete documentation of operational review activities thoroughly and timely.
  • Prepare detailed summary reports of quality assurance findings related to operational reviews.
  • Serve as a contact for external regulatory reviews, in the absence of the Executive Director.
  • Record keeper for all State/Federal Survey documentation, coordinate/implement corrective actions, and ensure reporting requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Lead development and implementation of improvement initiatives and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement internal quality practices under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Provide recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff.
  • Provide reports on program performance.
  • Support service delivery team members to prioritize quality and reduce risk.
  • Review satisfaction survey data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate investigations, ensure compliance with deadlines, and complete reports.
  • Oversee Critical Incident Reporting and Mortality Review processes.
  • Serve as Chair of the Quality & Safety Committee and participate in other committees.
  • Coordinate activities for external accreditation standards.
  • Maintain certification for signature programs (e.g., YSIS, Site Reviewer, QIDP).
  • Supervise entry-level QA staff, if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel within designated service sites.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field and minimum of 2 years working with foster care families and children.
  • Valid driver's license with current insurance.
  • Two years case management and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems, quality control, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, confidential environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer software for reports and data analysis.
  • Flexible working hours.
