Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA team in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across our embedded hardware and software products. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust manual and automated testing frameworks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background in embedded systems testing and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers focused on embedded hardware and software testing.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes for manual and automated testing.
• Architect scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks and drive automation across unit, integration, system, and regression testing levels.
• Oversee execution and documentation of test cases, ensuring high levels of coverage, repeatability, and traceability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, hardware, manufacturing, and product teams to identify risks and resolve issues early in the lifecycle.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and testability are incorporated from the ground up.
• Establish, document, and enforce QA best practices and standards.
• Monitor and report on QA metrics (e.g., defect trends, test coverage, escape rates, MTTR).
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry quality standards.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate QA team members; manage departmental schedules and workflows.
• Be available outside of standard business hours when necessary to support key business needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience in embedded systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within QA.
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, C/C++, or scripting environments.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with hardware validation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Experience with CI/CD and QA tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills.

Preferred:

• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA-related certification.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, FCC, CE) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
