Responsibilities

* Institute and maintain programs that ensure conformance to quality inspection procedures and standards.

* Adhere to, facilitate, and administer continual product safety in accordance with the SQF Code, Prerequisite, HACCP and Food Safety Programs.

* Delegate job responsibilities and manage Quality personnel.

* Evaluate and process customer complaints / credits and facilitate corrective action.

* Ensure conformance to both internal and customer specifications.

* Assure maintenance of Quality records in an organized, functional and traceable system

* Develop and implement programs that continuously improve the consistency of products with equal or reduced costs.

* Develop, control and administer Quality Department operational budget.

* Communicate directly with customers regarding quality issues and their resolution.

* Adhere to all Company and departmental procedures.

* Oversee and facilitate internal audit function (for Food Safety and Quality Systems).

* Lead MOC (Management of Change) process for the facility to ensure compliance for any material, process, or product change.

* Oversee all CQV processes and procedures along with IQOQPQ.

Qualifications

* College degree preferred with course work in quality management, statistics and sciences.

* Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Quality Manager for a manufacturing company.

* Supervisory experience with a department of ten (10) employees or more.

* Computer expertise including fluency in Microsoft Office applications.

* Knowledgeable in Food Safety Systems, the SQF Code and the packaging industry strongly preferred.

* Certification in HACCP and ISO Internal Auditing strongly preferred.

* Financial and departmental budget experience.

* Ability to travel, as required.

* Capable of working extended workdays and weekends, as required.

* Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.

* Negative drug screen results.
