Quality Assurance Engineer ( Software Automation Testing)

  • Proficiency in Implementing Test Automation Tools - Selenium, Cucumber, X-Ray, Ready API, Postman, Appium or any. Client is currently open to any new tools.

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our client in WI. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by actively participating in the testing and quality assurance processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address defects, contribute to test planning and execution, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute test cases, report defects, and verify their resolution.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Utilize testing tools to streamline the testing process and enhance overall product quality.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, providing input on testing efforts and status updates.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to test plans, test cases and testing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of testing standards and best practices.
  • Successful implementation of strategies to increase test coverage and efficiency (improvement in test coverage, reduce testing cycle times, enhance existing testing processes)
  • Reduction in Defect Rates (Implement Defect Prevention strategies, collaborate with development teams to address root causes of defects, contribute to positive trend in defect metrics over multiple release cycles)
  • Implementation of Process Improvements (Introduce best practices, Implement continuous improvement culture, adoption of new tools and technologies)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree, and 5+ Years of related experience required
  • Proven Experience in planning, designing, and executing test cases for software applications.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
  • Proficiency in software test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Background in identifying and implementing process improvements within quality engineering function.
  • Must be efficient in Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking
  • Must have strong knowledge of Software Design and Architecture
  • Must have proficiency in Testing and Debugging
  • Must have used Version Control Systems

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing concept
  • Technical proficiency in programming
