Job SummaryAs a Quality Assurance Engineer at BPMI, you will perform quality engineering functions and make engineering decisions for all aspects of assigned tasks. Cognizant areas may include planning, analyzing, documenting, and inspection of nuclear, mechanical, structural, or electrical components, systems, equipment, and facilities. Work may include chemical or materials evaluations, design reviews, operations support, engineering methods and software development, and analysis/auditing of vendor's procedures and systems for quality control or manufacturing surveillance. This position requires knowledge and application of engineering techniques, principles and practices employed in the area of assignment. Individual is responsible to maintain the technical excellence of the Company within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Minimum Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may be considered in lieu of one year of experience. Ten (10) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements. Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
Preferred Job RequirementsMinimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred for newer college graduates. A proven track record of effective written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in supplier quality assurance. Previous experience with the manufacturing of electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
