This potential role will serve as the principal line of communication in a state-wide implementation effort. Join us and be part of our mission to make a difference!SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test case automation as well as executing these tests. Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Collecting and analyzing data for software process evaluation and improvements, integrating them into business processes to address the needs. Documenting all identified problems and assisting in their resolution. Delivering quality process training to technical staff and acting as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Performing quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed. Creating a wide variety of technical publications including instructional materials, technical manuals, and product documentation for use by both the IT and business community. Maintaining all project artifacts in accordance with standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliance and quality assurance. Serving as a liaison with users to understand and translate their needs into quality assurance strategies. Following a standard set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts. Managing expectations of diverse stakeholders and providing regular briefings to executives on quality issues and outcomes. Working independently and as part of a larger cross-functional team to ensure quality is maintained throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle. Assisting with project coordination, support, and documentation to maintain continuous quality improvement.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or similar. Or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development. Ability to document user stories and write business IT system requirements. Experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to analyze and define future needs and operations based on use case and analysis of alternatives. In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering. Ability to coordinate project teams and effectively conduct initiatives to meet overall objectives. Experience communicating and working within cross-departmental teams, strong collaborative skills. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings. Leadership and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent writing, and editing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with meeting facilitation and documentation. Proficiency in various programming languages (like Java, Python, or C#) depending on the technology stack of the company. Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban). Experience with software QA tools and processes, including automated testing tools like Selenium. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certification in Quality Assurance from recognized bodies such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Certifications like the Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) or the Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA). Proficiency in QA tools (like Selenium, HP ALM, JMeter) and knowledge of software development and project management methodologies (like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall). Experience working on state or federal government projects with an understanding of the specific quality standards and regulations required. Experience collaborating with software development teams to identify system issues and solutions. Analytical mindset with the initiative to solve complex problems and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of IT standards, quality assurance best practices, and security protocols, particularly in sensitive industries such as criminal justice.
