Tremron, part of The QUIKRETE Companies, a leading producer of packaged cement and concrete products, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Safety/Quality Supervisor at our 160 Arista Road, Bowman, South Carolina, 29018 facility.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with extensive EH&S and/or quality experience.

ResponsibilitiesQuality
  • Ensure all quality control requirements are fulfilled as specified in the Pavestone PQP manual.
  • Maintain legible, well-organized logs and files related to quality control.
  • Evaluate quality data for finished products and raw materials, communicate trends, investigate causes, and take corrective actions.
  • Train personnel for appropriate action when specifications are not met.
  • Supervise quality control activities of staff.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure laboratory conditions meet standards.
  • Identify non-conforming products for disposition decisions.
  • Retain samples as specified in the Pavestone PQP Manual or as instructed.
Safety
  • Oversee, implement, and continuously improve Pavestone's Safety and Health program.
  • Conduct new employee safety training and onboarding.
  • Participate in monthly plant trainings and task-specific safety training.
  • Collaborate with Plant and General Managers on environmental compliance.
  • Participate in the safety committee.
  • Conduct incident investigations and determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Perform periodic site assessments.
  • Serve as a safety resource and coach for all employees.
Job Qualifications
  • College degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or practical experience.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE.
