Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of MidLevel Training Developer within our team Queens Public Library. This is a 18 month contract, hybrid (up to 50%) in Jamaica, NY Key Responsibilities: Daily activities to be performed by the AI Training Specialist. Training Delivery - Facilitate live virtual or in-person AI training for staff - Support Train-the-Trainer sessions for librarians and outreach teams - Conduct Q&A sessions or office hours for AI-related tools Consultation & Support -Provide one-on-one or small group coaching for AI tool use - Advise departments on how AI can streamline workflows (e.g., HR forms, communications) Tool Testing & Demonstration - Explore and test AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, DALL• E) - Demonstrate safe, ethical use of AI tools across teams Collaboration & Planning - Meet with L&OD, IT, and program leads to plan AI rollouts - Gather input for future training topics - Coordinate with Digital Literacy staff on public workshop alignment Monitoring & Evaluation - Track attendance and feedback from sessions - Analyze post-training surveys and adjust curriculum accordingly - Maintain training dashboards and update metrics Documentation & Reporting - Document best practices, FAQs, and usage tips - Update knowledge base with case studies or success stories - Provide weekly or monthly progress reports to management Research & Trend Analysis - Stay current with AI trends in education, libraries, and workforce training - Recommend new tools, pilots, or curriculum enhancements Qualifications: 36 - 60 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of Bachelor's Degree
  • 24 months experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, Copilot)
  • 36 months experience designing training materials, eLearning, job aids.
  • 18 months experience facilitating or supporting train-the-trainer programs.
  • 24 months experience translating technical content for general audiences.
  • 12 months experience with support and maintenance, including training, documentation, and troubleshooting. Experience must include documentation of system configurations, workflows, and user guides.
  • 24 months experience coordinating training projects or digital rollouts.
  • 12 months experience designing inclusive or accessible learning programs.
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 45 .00 - $ 50 .00.
