$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Role Overview
The primary purpose of the hospital's QM program is to promote excellence in patient care through continuous objective assessment and improvement. The Quality Improvement Manager (QIM) develops, implements, and oversees initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Responsibilities include data analysis, compliance with regulatory standards (DMH, CMS, JCAHO), monitoring physician productivity, and participating in quality improvement research. The role involves collaboration with leadership to ensure comprehensive, integrated care.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and oversee continuous quality improvement initiatives, including staff education and process development.Evaluate clinical and service issues using standardized indicators, and develop quality improvement plans.Manage utilization, risk, and patient safety programs, including data collection and analysis.Monitor patient satisfaction through surveys and review of feedback.Conduct peer reviews and ensure provider credentialing and adherence to clinical practice guidelines.Develop policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care.Lead emergency health care protocols and participate in accreditation and audit preparations.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Quality Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in healthcare quality improvement, preferably in a federally qualified health center in California.
- Strong project management, data analysis, and communication skills.
- Current BLS and CPR certifications.
- Experience working with disadvantaged populations and knowledge of health disparities is preferred.
