Summary: As the Quality, Environmental Health, and Safety Supervisor, you are responsible for administering and coordinating quality, safety, and environmental processes and programs to ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, SQF, HACCP, EPA, OSHA, and similar state and federal regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads and collaborates with QEHS Specialist and other teams as needed to create, revise, administer, and facilitate training sessions on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure team members are up to date on all required training to cover quality, food safety, workplace safety, waste management, and other relevant topics.
- Lead and facilitate changes to quality and safety practices within the organization to achieve and sustain SQF Certification, comply with OSHA regulations and waste management regulations at the state and federal levels.
- Acts as the primary SQF Practitioner and PCQI (Process Control Qualified Individual) and coordinates the Verification and Validation Program, Document Control Program, Foreign Material Management Program and Environmental Monitoring Program, ensuring consistency in application of internal processes and procedures.
- Owner of the 3rd party laboratory testing program to ensure raw materials comply with EPA/FDA regulations in accordance with The Lebermuth Company Supply Chain Preventive Control Heavy Metal and Pesticide Program. Supports 3rd party testing compliance with other certification programs such as Organic. Coordinates with Sales, Regulatory, and R&D to fulfill 3rd party testing requests to ensure raw materials meet customer specifications.
- Coordinates approval of suppliers with the Purchasing, Regulatory and R&D Departments to ensure the Supplier Management Program is up to date with all current and potential suppliers and maintains compliance documentation of supplier level documents.
- Coordinates and trains on the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes across the organization to ensure implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and resolution of obstacles.
- Provides support to the Regulatory department for all governmental, third party and customer audits to ensure compliance with Lebermuth, state and federal regulations.
- Partners with Human Resources on Lebermuth environmental health and safety initiatives, accident investigation, and OSHA reporting.
- Oversees, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for routine inspections of the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Ensures all audit findings are investigated, and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are documented and corrected.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed and maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Regularly conduct reviews with the Senior Leadership Team on the status of current quality and safety programs and provide information about any upcoming changes or projects relating to quality and environmental safety initiatives.
- Develop and lead sustainability initiatives including coordinating activities cross functionally in support of sustainability programs.
- Promotes a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with cleaning and sanitation throughout the production areas, and accurately completing Lebermuth required paperwork (i.e., equipment logs, regulatory documentation) to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will have a direct report, the QEHS Training Specialist. Requirements Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Quality Assurance, Food Science or other related field of study. Experience: 5 + years of related experience and/or training; Knowledge base representative of the position includes experience with SQF, OSHA, cGMP and HACCP programs and Waste Management. Certifications: SQF Practitioner, PCQI, and HACCP, OSHA- 30+ hours, Waste Handling. Functional Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and executing skills are required; technical aptitude, with lean thinking/process improvement skillsets, are needed to problem-solve and enhance the operations; excellent forward-thinking, prioritization, analytical, and detail-oriented skills are required to manage multiple data points. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Analytical problem solving, effective communication and partnership development Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Programs such as Excel, Power point, Teams, and Visio. Strong working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP systems and familiarity with regulatory-related programs. Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates advanced group presentation skills, presents information effectively and responds to questions from owners and management teams Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and chemical hazard information and safety procedures. Ability to write correspondence that is professional in both content and tone. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
