Job Summary:
2-3-2 shift rotation, 6:45 am to 7:00 pm and 6:45 pm to 7:00 am. 36-hour week then 48-hour week rotations (OT)
Summary of Position:
Conducts analysis and experimentation on raw material, in-process and finished product, and wastewater samples to ensure quality specifications meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains various quality control instruments.
- Performs timely and accurate routine quality control analysis using established test methods.
- Approves/rejects materials based upon set specifications.
- Enters data into the plant information system to allow generation of reports on plant operating conditions.
- Maintains the laboratory according to 5S practices, good housekeeping and safety standards within the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Performs calibrations of equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting problems with in-process materials, intermediates and finished products.
- May perform other related assignments as determined by supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
Education equivalent to:
- BS in Chemistry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of lab experience

- Self-motivated individual with good time management skills
- Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
