QA / QC - BROWN & ROOT : Job Details

Summary Someone who is self-motivated and can take ownership of a site's day to day inspection schedule and has a working knowledge of the national codes such as ASME, ANSI, NBIC, API and NCI. This individual can work with client's technical staff and help write repair plans and Inspection Test & Repair Plans (ITPs). At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examinations for he or she is certified to perform. B&R self-performs VT, PT, MT, UTT, PMI and RFI. Not all candidates will have every certification, but this is a plus. The American Welding Society / Certified Welding Inspector program allows inspectors to perform visual examination on pipe, structural steel, and bridges. We support career advancement through professional training and development Requirements Experience working in direct support of petrochemical, refineries, boiler repairs. Have previous verifiable NDE ASNT Level II (MT, PT, UTT, RFI, VT) certifications or the ability to recertify. A valid AWS/CWI is a plus. A working knowledge of API 510, 570, and 653 is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as an inspector. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision,
• Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs,
• Climbing and working off ladders, stairs, high reach, and scaffolding in excess of 100 ft,
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time,
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold,
• Work in and near industrial hazards,
• Perform vessel entries and confine space thru a minimum 18 manway.

Requires a clean criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
