Job Title: Development Quality Testing Engineer
Duration: 12 Months + Possible Extensions
Experience Level: 5+ Years Required
Bonus: Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, etc.) is a strong plus.

- Proficient in Android Application Testing
- Experienced with Postman for API Testing
- Skilled in using child proxy tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Fiddler) for network traffic inspection and troubleshooting
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Development Quality Testing Engineer to support connected vehicle and infotainment system validation for one of the most admired global automotive brands. In this role, you'll work on-site in Plano, TX, collaborating closely with developers, QA teams, and product owners to ensure a robust and scalable codebase. This role is hands-on and requires strong testing skills across mobile platforms, APIs, and connected vehicle components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, test designs, and validation scripts
- Set up and configure test environments including benches, vehicles, and devices
- Validate products and services using best practices and available tools
- Log, triage, and report defects; coordinate with dev and product teams
- Collect logs and system data for troubleshooting and issue triage
- Support internal teams with training, documentation, and test evidence
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, reviews, and demos
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering and Product Owners to meet deliverables
- Support defect triaging in lower environments and production staging
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience in connected vehicle or infotainment system validation
- Extensive log collection experience from vehicle head-units, mobile platforms (iOS/Android), and communication systems
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence for test reporting and documentation
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks and modern QA practices
- Strong skills in impact analysis, scenario storyboarding, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Agile/Scrum (software) and Waterfall (automotive) lifecycle models
- API testing experience with REST/gRPC microservices in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of authentication methods (SSL, OAuth, MQTT – plus)
- Familiarity with in-car network protocols like CAN or MOST is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar
- Prior experience with automation of Android/iOS mobile applications
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing tools
