Job Description

We are seeking a skilled QA Data Tester to join our team for a long-term hybrid contract role based in Warren, NJ. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in testing data flows into Azure Data Lake, with strong knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience using Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and PySpark.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end data validation and testing with Azure Data Lake as the target system.
• Work with source systems such as SQL databases and other data stores to validate data pipelines.
• Design and execute complex SQL queries for data comparison, validation, and test automation.
• Test and validate data pipelines built with Databricks, ADF, and PySpark.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA Analysts, and Business Analysts to understand data transformation logic and ensure data quality.
• Identify, report, and track defects in the data flow.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data-related projects.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on QA testing experience with data lakes and data pipelines.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Lake as a target platform.
• Solid expertise in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Databricks
• PySpark
• Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and working in Agile environments.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
