About the Role

Purchasing Specialist

Temp to Perm

Full Time, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm

Hourly Pay Range: $24-$28

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services based on company requirements.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and track order status, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any delays.
  • Maintain supplier records and update purchasing databases.
  • Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts.
  • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and coordinating replenishments.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and processing payments with the finance team.
  • Stay updated on market trends, supplier options, and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least an associate's degree.
  • If candidates are jumpy, we need to provide the explanation for leaving their last roles.

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate procurement of technical components and materials.
  • Experience in sourcing materials and suppliers from international markets, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and optimizing cost efficiencies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement software.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
