Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our procurement team as an Entry-Level Purchasing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our procurement operations by coordinating the purchase of materials, goods, and services necessary for our manufacturing processes. - Assist in the procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies based on production schedules and inventory needs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and lead times.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and inventory control teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of materials and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Prior experience or internships in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement is a plus.
Pay Range
$26 - $32/hour (+ profit sharing)
The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, the base salary of internal peers, and performance demonstrated.
