Purchasing Officer - Hillsborough Community College : Job Details

Compensation Range: $61,515.09 - $97,778.21

Position Summary: Manages the work of assigned personnel and functions involved with purchasing.

Job Duties:

• Manages the work of assigned personnel and functions involved with purchasing.
• Develops, conducts, and/or facilitates all types of solicitations and resultant contracts for various commodities and services as assigned.
• Responsible for management and oversight of the College's food services and vending contracts.
• Manages Purchasing Department programs and processes as assigned. Manages vendor control via the College's vendor registration system and vendors within the College's enterprise resource planning system.
• Monitors the accuracy and timeliness of department data and processes.
• Conducts and oversees specialized procurement studies, research, and analyses. Oversees and/or produces reports.
• Serves as the Associate Director in the absence of the Purchasing Director.
• Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Required Qualifications: The position requires at least a bachelor's degree and three years of prior-related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a public procurement and/or supplier registration program, p-card program, contract performance monitoring and contracts. Active certification as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), NIGP Certified Procurement Professional, Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM).

Supplemental Job Information: This is a procurement position in the centralized procurement office in a state public college serving five campuses.
