At Berco, we produce mission critical undercarriages for mining, construction, forestry and agriculture machinery. Together with our customers, we create long lasting solutions by combining know-how in design, forging, heat treatment, machining and assembling. We provide undercarriage components to OEMs(Original Equipment Manufacturers) for the first fit of the machines as well as the service parts to OEMs and to the independent Aftermarket.

Your Responsibilities

Berco of America, Inc. seeks a Purchasing Manager in Waukesha, Wisconsin. 10% travel, domestic and international.

Duties: Manage company procurement and materials planning processes to ensure the on-time, cost-optimized, and efficient delivery of goods, services, and components; identify competitive strategies and evaluate and adjust company purchasing and supply chain programs, including overseeing development of new suppliers for forged, cast and metal fabrication components and systems; coordinate negotiations for components, logistics services, and capital expenditures; supervise Buyers and coordinate activities between affiliate companies in a matrix organization, including participating in the thyssenkrupp world-wide procurement process; and manage purchasing budgets, define and review performance of KPIs, and manage and evaluate suppliers.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Industrial and Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology with Supply Chain Management focus, or foreign equivalent degree. 2 years of work experience in a purchasing position in the forged, cast, and metal fabrication components industry. Must have 2 years with each of the following: developing new suppliers for cast, forged and metal fabrication, including evaluating potential suppliers' technical capabilities and suitability of company assembly equipment for supplied goods; developing sourcing strategies and supplier technical evaluation processes for cast, forged and metal fabrication components, including negotiating with suppliers; processing purchasing requisitions for cast, forged and metal fabrication components, including making inquiries, submitting detailed Requests for Quotations, performing price comparisons, placing purchasing orders, and initiating procurement transactions using ERP systems, preparing statistics and analyses for strategic procurement purposes for cast, forged and metal fabrication components, including compiling data regarding supplier volume and turnover structures; and developing reporting tools to aid in procurement planning activities for cast, forged and metal fabrication components, including assessing associated risks.
