Job Summary:
Oversee the purchasing and procurement activities and maintain optimal inventory levels for Racing Force USA, Inc. Manage the internal inventory transfer process between US locations including Mooresville, NC, Doral, FL and Speedway, IN to ensure all locations have optimal inventory levels for sales and to support the Pro Store locations. Work with operations teams at Racing Force Group (RFG) and Racing Force International (RFI) to ensure the correct inventory shipments and stock levels to support the sales budget and fulfill customer demand. Monitor sales performance compared to the budget, communicate and collaborate with the US commercial team on a day-to-day basis to address under and over performing product categories and SKUs. Reports to the US CEO with oversight from the operations teams at RFG and RFI.
Purchasing:
· Work with the RFG and RFI operations teams and commercial department on the forecasting of inventory needs and stock levels during peak demand to support and achieve the sales budget, assist the RFG and RFI operations teams with projections and analysis
· Oversight of purchasing activities for Racing Force USA, with vendors and suppliers, coordinate with Racing Force Group production facilities in Bahrain (RFI) and Italy (RFG)
· Enter purchase orders based on the company's inventory plan and reorder points as directed
· Oversee the receipt of products against purchase orders in the system and coordinate with the warehouse and finance, notify vendors and finance regarding shipment discrepancies
· Work with the commercial, finance and IT departments, operations teams at RFG and RFI to ensure part numbers, descriptions and purchase price for new products are uploaded into NetSuite
· Utilize NetSuite for purchasing, use other software including Net Stock, Power BI and OMS (Order Management System) to conduct analysis, upload POs, enter products in transit, and coordinate with finance to physically receive products into the system
· Reconcile orders after each container shipment and quarterly with vendors to ensure Racing Force's open orders match the vendors open orders to be delivered and coordinate with IT, commercial, and finance if assistance or additional information is required
· Analyze inventory turns by product category and SKU, ensure proper stocking levels for on-hand inventory to support sales budget including identifying A movers and items that could sell at higher levels with the proper inventory support
· Work with management to ensure the company is achieving inventory turnover targets to provide excellent customer service and order fulfillment within the inventory plan while working to prevent overstock on slow-moving items
· Notify the commercial team, operations and management when there is increased or decreased demand for specific inventory stocking items outside of the sales budget
· Assist the operations and commercial teams with reviewing products that will be discontinued due to homologation change or product design change the next calendar or product year to limit excess and obsolete inventory
· Monitor low-stock inventory received from outside vendors to eliminate stock outs, expedite customer backordered items (CBOs) when feasible
· Purchase office supplies, warehouse supplies and shipping materials as needed
Logistics & Coordination:
· Upload in-transit shipments from vendors including ground, air, and ocean shipments into NetSuite prior to arrival for the warehouse to scan and receive in a timely manner
· Track shipments and deliveries to guarantee timely receipt of materials
· Assist with resolving discrepancies related to invoices, deliveries, or quality issues
· Collaborate with logistics at RFG and RFI and coordinate with freight forwarders and common carriers
· Assist with international shipments and paperwork as needed (SLI's, commercial invoices, packing slips)
Inventory Control:
· Assist in researching inventory shortages and coordinate with the warehouse, review with the finance team for authorization before inventory is adjusted
· Use provided software including NetSuite, Net Stock and Power Bi to coordinate with the commercial team to set inventory levels and work with the warehouse and pro shop locations to ensure inventory is accurate by location
· Oversee and direct the warehouse to receive sellable products returned through the RMA process into inventory, notify finance when the item is returned to issue a credit memo. If the product is not sellable, inform finance to write off the product to scrap and request credit with the vendor if the item is defective or replaced under warranty
· Manage and oversee the internal transfers of inventory to the other locations and coordinate transfers with the commercial team and the warehouse. Initiate the transfer of inventory to the Pro Shop and Motorsports locations and notify the warehouse
· Assist with cycle counts and inventory counts as needed
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
· 4-Year degree preferred
· 2 to 3 years' experience in purchasing, logistics or inventory management
· Proficient in using software for analytics
· Experience with shipping products internationally
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Knowledge of ERP systems and scanning systems, experience in NetSuite or similar system preferred
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Multi-lingual communication skills not required but preferred, Spanish, and Italian
· Ability to be self-motivated and provide leadership in fast paced environment
· Attention to detail to ensure proficiency and accuracy in operations
· Proficient in Windows-based applications
