Purchasing and Inventory Manager

Location: Vacaville, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (Exempt)

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 + Bonus opportunities, great benefits, 401(k)

Reports to: Director of Warehouse & Facilities

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead purchasing and inventory management operations to ensure timely availability of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans that align with company goals and optimize costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align inventory with current and future demand.
  • Process and track purchase orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt and minimal lead times.
  • Supervise the Purchasing & Inventory team, including scheduling, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
  • Analyze pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain fiscal oversight of team-related budgets and invoicing.
  • Use inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain—HVAC industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and vendor landscapes.
  • Proficiency in inventory and procurement software tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience managing a small team, with the ability to foster collaboration across departments
