Responsibilities

  • Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor network and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Demonstrate a proven record of achieving material cost savings and improving the bottom line.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while preventing stockouts.
  • Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in expanding vendor networks and building strong supplier relationships.
  • A proven record of achieving significant material cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience in purchasing lumber is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with team members and management
  • Analytical and data driven decision-making capabilities. Ability to create value
