Job DetailsResponsibilities:1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely procurement of materials and services required for construction projects.2. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.3. Review purchase orders for accuracy and adherence to company policy and procedures.4. Perform cost analysis and set benchmarks to monitor system effectiveness.5. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify specifications, control costs, and ensure timely delivery of materials.6. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.7. Keep abreast of market trends and changes affecting both procurement and the construction industry.8. Evaluate vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivery terms.9. Prepare and present detailed reports on purchasing activities and costs for senior management.10. Collaborate with the finance department to optimize financial reporting and forecasting related to purchasing.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the construction industry.2. Proven experience with purchasing, purchase orders, material costs, and vendor management.3. Strong understanding of the residential construction process and home building.4. Proficiency in cost analysis and financial reporting.5. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.6. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.9. Proficiency in using purchasing and project management software.10.
