Purchasing Agent (Food Manufacturing) (CA/YM) - Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions : Job Details

A food manufacturing company is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. This position is responsible for maintaining the inventory of the ingredients necessary to keep production moving and meeting customers' demands / timeline with little problems or delays. An associate's degree, 1-2 years of purchasing/buyer experience, import/export experience and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience is required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with excellent benefits and 401k. [Work ScheduleMon-Fri, 8-5pm]

Purchasing Agent Duties:

-Maintaining and updating the inventory through tracking, cycle counts and physical inventories.

-Having and maintaining a good strong relationship with our various vendors / suppliers.

-Finishing each month by completing all open invoices for orders that were received during that month.

-Maintaining an open line of communications with the other departments within the company.

-Maintaining a higher degree of discipline in finding new approaches in purchasing, inventory, product quality and resolving product issues.

-Prepare warehouse transfer order to our related plants.

-Organize warehouse area to maximize space.

-Import/export experience

Purchasing Agent Skills:

-Must have an associate's degree

-Must have 1-2 years of purchasing experience

-Must have import/export experience

-Must have Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience

-Good mathematical and problem-solving skill

-Excellent verbal, writing and communication skills
