Purchasing Specialist (Oakdale, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a leading organization in the manufacturing and distribution industry in Oakdale, CA in search of a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on streamlining sourcing and logistics processes. As a Purchasing Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable working cross-functionally, managing vendor relationships, and navigating procurement systems. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Submit supplier information to supervisors for review and approval.
  • Coordinate payment terms and manage vendor communications.
  • Place purchase orders and schedule shipments and deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control stock in the warehouse.
  • Track and ensure timely payments to suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and procurement systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully on-site in Oakdale, CA

Hours: Full-time, standard business hours

Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour
