Job Summary
The PubSec Microsoft Digital Innovation Group (MDIG) focuses on pre-sales consultative guidance, emphasizing customer value and discovery of service and sales opportunities across the modern Microsoft technology stack for government, healthcare, and academic environments.
The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant (MSC) supports pre-sales activities related to Azure, working with Microsoft partner engagements and service offerings for education, government, and healthcare sectors. The role involves building relationships with customers, internal teams, and Microsoft, assisting in adoption, education, and advisory services for Microsoft solutions. Continuous learning about Microsoft cloud technologies is essential.
Role Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists.
- Identify market gaps and opportunities to add value for SHI customers.
- Lead internal training on Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with Microsoft support resources for effective communication.
- Consult with customers on Microsoft products, strategies, and adoption.
- Recommend third-party solutions when appropriate.
- Develop demos for Microsoft use cases to support services and licensing.
- Deliver pre-sales engagements focused on Purview, data governance, and security.
- Achieve and maintain relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Document opportunities within SHI internal tools.

- Experience with Public Sector entities and workload migrations into Azure.
Certifications
Must obtain within 180 days of hire:
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate, OR
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, OR
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, OR
- Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
The estimated annual pay range is $100,000 - $190,000, dependent on experience and market. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and more.
