Public Works Maintenance Worker - County of Charlotte Florida : Job Details

Performs general labor in roadway drainage construction, asphalt placement, and other public works maintenance activities. Work includes manual tasks that do not require any particular degree of manipulative skill or previous experience. Work is usually performed under immediate supervision. Assignments will become progressively more difficult and less routine with training and experience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Performs routine work assisting in building, rebuilding, and repairing manholes, catch basins, sand traps, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and other general cement and brick work as needed. Performs general labor in street construction and maintenance work; breaks pavement; pours and shovels asphalt and concrete; digs holes; lays sod; assists in carpentry, painting, and other incidental construction work.
