Public Works Director - County of Okaloosa Florida : Job Details

Plans, organizes and directs the operations and activities of the Public Works Department. EXAMPLES OF WORK - Directs personnel functions of the department to include selection, assignment, scheduling, interviewing, hiring, training, and discipline. - Supervises and directs supervisory division staff in scheduling and coordinating public works activities and projects related to roads and bridges, engineering, land development review, surveying, solid waste collection, disposal and long-term care and remediation of closed landfills, mosquito control and fleet services. - Participates on various intergovernmental committees as the Countys representative, and in professional organizations keeping up to date on issues and events affecting public works. - Provides project management for other departments as directed by the County Administrator. - Develops rules and regulations necessary to update land development code, comprehensive plan, and other policy documents as related to public...Public Works, Director, Land Development, Project Management
