Public Safety Emergency Communications Engineer - Spruce Technology : Job Details

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in data center or field support roles.
• 8+ years in network support and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
• 8+ years in communications routing and delivery (Wireline, Wireless, VoIP).
• Proficiency in documentation tools (Excel, Visio, Word).
• Strong knowledge of networking hardware, topologies, and telecom cabling standards.
• Experience with LEC circuit termination, land-mobile-radio systems (P25), and call routing technologies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and follow detailed documentation.
• Willingness to travel within NYC, work on-call, after hours, and weekends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Emergency Communications infrastructure and applications.
• Familiarity with DMS, ACD, ANI/ALI, NG911 ESInet routing, SMS aggregation, GIS systems.
• Knowledge of TDOS/DDOS risk mitigation in 911 environments.
