What we are looking for:

Everyone at our agency plays a unique and special role, and Account Directors are no different. The right AD wants to be the point person for both clients and colleagues, driving ongoing and impactful earned media andcontent programs, while managing junior staff and ensuring client accounts stay on track. That means the ideal candidate possesses the right level of tactical and strategic management knowledge, which should be applied to support everything from resource and budgetary management, to organic account growth strategies, leading new business efforts, mentoring and managing talent, and promoting the agency to external audiences.

More details on role:

• Work with management and senior team members to strategize how to market the agency through events, webinars, blogs, social media, podcasts, etc. (this can be in a supporting capacity until you reach the VP-title levels).
• At this title level you'll be an active new business participant, mainly as the project manager on an RFP submission, gathering information, articulating how / why we'll be a good fit, overseeing our team's response, and pitching alongside our team.
• You will be expected to start introducing potential clients to the agency, both through your own relationships and with proactive outreach to prospects.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of clients' evolving needs and identify – and provide solutions for – potential hurdles that may negatively impact clients' reputation.
• To the extent it's professional and work-appropriate, engage with your clients outside of the typical program communications. Whether virtual or in person, develop that working relationship with a personal touch. That often means coffees and lunches and even impromptu check-ins by phone (and sometimes text).
• Act on your knowledge of what it means to run a successful account team, especially as it relates to staffing and resources. Look to recruit new team members to the team and agency. Leverage other parts of the agency – including those who don't work on you

Beyond the above, this position requires:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, PR, business or adjacent
• 5-7 years of experience in the B2B marketing/PR space
• Strong understanding of media and evolving digital marketing landscape
• A desire to learn how to drive results across all accounts
