Job Description:Job Summary The Public Health Specialist I will perform and/or assist in performing activities related to physical inspections and surveys of facilities within the jurisdiction served by the District Office. The incumbent will assist to support the evaluation of environmental health conditions and document violations of the State Sanitary Code. The incumbent will also conduct emergency response work; collect environmental samples for laboratory testing; provide general information and technical assistance in response to emerging issues, such as wastewater surveillance, or other public health programs; enter data into environmental health program databases; and perform other appropriate related duties.
