Public Health Nurse II - County of Craven North Carolina : Job Details

The primary purpose of the position is to provide surveillance and monitoring of Tuberculosis (TB) patients and contacts in order to ensure compliance with proper control measures. Essential Functions 60% Coordination of Tuberculosis Program Plan, coordinate and manage the Tuberculosis Control, OSHA and Adult Immunization Programs. Establish program goals, policies and guidelines with the Adult Health Supervisor, Program Manager. Make modifications in the Programs as new standards occur. Compile reports and assemble relevant program data. Be involved in program development, planning with other health professionals and organizations to initiate changes where problems occur and creating solutions to answer program objectives. These actions will involve among others, health department staff, schools, hospital, day cares, mental health, community groups and organizations, local physicians and their staff and long-term care facilities.
