PTS Pickup Driver

Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) provides the campus access, mobility, and services through policies that are customer focused, environmentally friendly, and economically sound. PTS understands that as a student, your first obligation is your education - we work around your schedule.

Purpose

PTS is looking for drivers for an on-campus circular shuttle, utilizing UT vehicles. Drivers will provide courtesy cart transportation to faculty, staff, students, and visitors across campus.

Responsibilities
  • Staff will drive carts along the inner parts of campus, assisting with directions and providing rides.
Required Qualifications
  • Staff must be reliable, responsible, and have regular availability.
  • Must maintain an unexpired Texas Driver's License and a clear driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be enrolled at an institution of higher learning and meet enrollment eligibility requirements for a non-academic student position.
  • Must not be working for another UT dept. or State of Texas dept.
  • Customer service skills are a plus.
Salary Range

$15/hour

Working Conditions
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Climbing stairs
  • May work in all weather conditions, including inclement and extreme weather
  • May work around loud noises
  • Some heavy lifting and moving up to 50lbs. may be required
  • Driving a vehicle or cart
  • Uniform is a PTS shirt & safety vest (provided), and black or khaki pants or shorts
Work Shift
  • Spring 2025
  • Work to be performed in-person, on campus.
  • 24 hours per week.
  • Flexible; Shifts occur between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9:30am-2:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Summer 2025 - ongoing.
