OverviewAn established integrated health center with over 20 years of experience in mental health care is seeking a Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Psychiatrist to join its growing medical team. The facility combines psychiatry, primary care, pharmacy, research, and other services in one location, promoting a collaborative and innovative approach to patient care.
This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented environment with no nights, weekends, or on-call shifts.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct diagnostic assessments, provide psychotherapy, and manage medications for patients with a range of mental health conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with best practices.
Provide crisis intervention, education on treatment and medications, and coordinate care with families and other healthcare providers.
Collaborate with physician assistants, psychologists, neuropsychologists, and primary care providers to deliver integrated patient care.
Utilize innovative care offerings such as pharmacogenetic testing, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), telehealth, and remote patient monitoring.
Document all clinical interactions accurately in the electronic medical records system.
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge.
May serve as Primary Investigator or Sub-Investigator on clinical research studies.
Supervise mid-level providers as required.
Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an ACGME-approved psychiatry residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Active and unrestricted Nebraska medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
Current DEA registration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or in process.
Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with Microsoft Office platforms.
Clinical experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Skilled in medication management and providing psychotherapy.
Experience with crisis intervention and patient education.
Prior subspecialty training (e.g., addiction, geriatrics, child/adolescent) is welcome but not required.
