Youth and families have the opportunity to learn skills that help them manage and cope with trauma-based issues and to re-engage with home, school and community. QualificationsAbout the Mental Health Therapist position Providesin-home therapeuticclinical services to families and youth involved with the juvenile justice system with the goal of preventing out of home placement. Must becapable of working closely with the courts, judges, schools,probation, children and youth services,hospitalsand other providersin collaboration with evidence-based outcomes; allin alignment with MHY goals and strategies. Must beable to work a flexible schedule, including evenings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Conducts MSTPsychassessmentsin alignment with established protocols and policies,including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses,and analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the environment.
  • Engages primary caregivers and other key participants inthe MSTPsychtherapeutic process and ensuresthatbarriers areidentifiedand overcome.
  • Implementsproblem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision proceduresusing the MST Analytic Process.
  • Maintains clear and concisetreatmentdocumentationin alignment with MST principles and its Analytic Process, and whichthat promotespeer and supervisory review and feedback.
  • Collaborates with all relevantsystems,and key participants within each,to ensure buy-in and cooperationthroughout MSTPsychtreatment, and in support of outcomes and objectives set forth by MHY.
  • Provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MSTPsychprinciples and practices.
  • With the MST Psych team, collaborates withthe teamPsychiatrist and Nurse Practitioner onpsychiatric and medical issues that pertain to youth and their family members.
  • Participates in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities and attends group and team meetings as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Thishas no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Master's degreein Psychology, SocialWorkor related field of study, anddemonstratedsuccess in the clinical treatment of youth with serious antisocial behavior.Prior experience in family and youth therapies using cognitive and behavioral approaches strongly preferred, as is prior experience in social skillsassessmentand intervention and child developmentapproaches.Must be 21 years of age with currentFBI, Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances. Current PA state driver's license withevidence ofan insurable driving record required.Must possess demonstrated PC skills includingcommonMS Office applications.Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Director.
