Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician - Concord Physicians Solutions : Job Details

Position: Geriatric Psychiatrist Senior Behavioral Health UnitLocation: Saranac Lake, NYStart Date: ASAP (emergency privileges available for rapid start)Duration: OngoingAssignment Type: Inpatient geriatric psychiatry

Schedule:

• Onsite rounding: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch) flexible; typically
• Nightly call: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
• Weekend call: Same as nightly, as scheduled
• H&Ps performed by other physicians
• Occasional consults on Med/Surg or ED floors (infrequent)

Patient Population & Census:

• 100% geriatric / senior behavioral health (ages 55+)
• 12-bed inpatient unit
• Average daily census: 8 12 patients
• Average patients seen daily: 8 12

Support & Resources:

• Social workers and nurses onsite
• Locum will be the sole psychiatrist for the unit
• EMR: Meditech (training provided)
• Dictation services available

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
• Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry not required
• Active NY license preferred (emergency privileges possible)

Credentialing:

• Immediate start possible with emergency privileges
