WHO YOU ARE:

We seek a Prototype Machinist (5 axis mill) who is a proven leader, communicator, and problem solver, capable of thriving in a dynamic startup environment. Your work will directly impact our business outcomes and require adaptability in a fast-paced setting.

Your role involves programming and setting up machines from engineering drawings and CAD models, providing DFM and process improvements, with a focus on 5 axis milling of complex components such as turbine blades or valves, and assisting in prototype assembly. Experience with high-tolerance work in industries like semiconductor, medical, or aerospace is preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Set up machines with tooling and workpieces
  • Create complex and innovative parts
  • Assist in sourcing materials, tooling, or equipment
  • Perform inspection of machined parts at basic and advanced levels
  • Assist in assembling prototype jet engines
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Operate forklifts and rigging equipment
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • 6+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision machining industries
  • Strong CAD and CAM skills (NX preferred; SolidWorks, HSMWorks, Fusion, etc.)
  • Experience with fluid fittings and manufacturing identification (AN, Flare, NPT, NPTF, etc.)
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and surface finishes
  • Experience machining exotic materials (Ti 6/4, 718, 625, Maraging, etc.)
  • Experience machining 3D printed materials
  • Fixture design and setup experience
  • Ability to operate machinery and lifting equipment (forklift, overhead crane, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds
