Job Description

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Area Delivery Leader (PADL) to join our Associate to Consultant (A2C) Shared Delivery Team (SDT). This senior leadership role oversees all delivery activities within the Area (single/multi-country or Practice/Industry), ensuring optimal support while maximizing team utilization and revenue. You will report to the Geo Delivery Leader and serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.

As PADL, you will coach, manage, and guide Delivery Practice Managers (DPMs) and their teams to provide top-tier solutions for customers and partners. Your responsibilities include engaging with C-level executives, collaborating with partner teams, driving business development, providing portfolio guidance, and meeting customer satisfaction targets. You will work closely with ProServe Account Executives to identify and define customer business outcomes, building trust and executing Statements of Work (SOWs).

You should have experience leading teams in the technology sector, with the ability to optimize team growth and performance through tailored development plans. You need to translate technical concepts into business value and cultivate strong relationships with customers and internal teams. Success is primarily measured through the Area P&L, delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations (CSAT).

The role involves leading and building the A2C SDT, elevating technical delivery, and developing early-career technologists into customer-facing consultants in areas such as Infrastructure, Application Development, DevOps, Data, and Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Area Shared Delivery Team, including DPMs and their teams
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions, meeting satisfaction targets
  • Drive business development and portfolio management
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to define customer outcomes
  • Manage the Area P&L, optimize team performance and utilization
  • Act as an escalation point for sales and delivery, engaging in pre-sales, projects, and reviews
Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence at AWS offices or customer locations at least 5 days per week. Travel within the US and internationally is expected based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years in IT and/or Management Consulting/Services, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Experience leading cloud transformation projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, staffing consultants or customer-facing professionals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with experience working with C-level clients
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services and cloud trends
  • Strong people and performance management skills
  • Financial analysis, contract, and risk management experience
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive change
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making in ambiguous environments
  • AWS certifications, PMP, PRINCE, Agile certifications preferred
