Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, LTD, is seeking a Property Facultative Underwriter for the Atlanta office. A high level of technical underwriting, communication, and analytic skill is necessary to develop and manage business to achieve long-term underwriting profit and growth.

• New business production and renewal underwriting, adherence to underwriting rules and guidelines, and developing strong customer relationships through providing top-notch service.
• Work with all functional areas of the company including claims, accounting, and product management to support company objectives.
• Ability to travel; expected to spend time on the road after initial training. Monthly or as-needed travel to assigned markets and territories.
• Build relationships with ceding companies and reinsurance intermediaries.
• Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities, strategies, and the overall insurance marketplace.
• Experience working with catastrophe models is a plus.
• Property Facultative experience preferred.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Property Underwriter, including work with large accounts.
• Excellent marketing skills and established relationships with insurance companies.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills, with ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering reports.
• Prior reinsurance experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret catastrophe modeling, actuarial methodologies, and output.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
