Property Caretaker / Bosun / Boat Captain Division: YachtingRef ID: R498####### Location: Bridgehampton, NY 11932Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 Schedule: This is a year-round job with a 5-day work schedule Must be flexible to work either Saturday or Sunday in winter, and work both Saturday and Sunday in summer Benefits: Full benefits package offered (Health insurance, paid vacation, sick days, 401K with employer match)Job Summary: A private family seeks to hire an experienced Property Caretaker / Boat Captain to assist with the maintenance of their private estate as well as maintain a 48-foot boat in the Hamptons, NY. The ideal candidate will be extremely hands-on with a strong sense of support and hospitalityMust be a self-starter individual but at the same time willing to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate would have a yachting background or a captain's license for boats (e.g., a former deckhand) and someone looking to transition to a land-based opportunity full-time in Bridgehampton, NY. Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the principals
• Works as part of a household team
• Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, overseeing minor repairs, and any emergency response on the property
• Coordinate and supervise vendors
• Maintaining outside facilities and lawn maintenance
• Set up and breakdown of outdoor furniture: covering/uncovering furniture, setting up chairs, umbrellas, cushions, and tables for any special events
• Garbage/Recycle removal and trash-can cleaning as needed
• Exercise common sense and take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions
• Caring for all vehicles including cleaning the interior, checking for engine oil inspection, and always ensuring the pristine condition of the vehicle at all times
• Oversee that all electronics, smart TVs, iPads, iPod docks, and home/sound systems are operating properly and are connecting to Wi-Fi.
• Pet care as the family has 2 large dogs
• Running errands and adhering to special requests as needed
• Maintain the family s 48-foot boat.
• Maintain the vessel s deck surface and interior spaces
• Assist in operations like docking and undocking

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
• Former experience as a Bosun, Boat or yacht captain is a plus
• Outstanding references from both current and previous employers
• A superb command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer skills; including Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet, and e-mail
• Professional, polished, and poised at all times
• Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Handyman experience is a huge plus
• Must have valid US work authorization
• Valid driver s License
