Property and Evidence Custodian - City of North Little Rock Arkansas : Job Details

Oversees the reception, recording, and release of property and evidence and provides information and assistance to the municipal courts and general public by performing the following duties. Essential Functions include the following. The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Receives, records, controls, and disposes of property and evidence: Receives and records property/evidence from Police Department personnel and other authorized personnel. Safeguards property/evidence and maintains the integrity of the chain of custody. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of evidence, which may be used in a court of law. Receives, records, and disposes of abandoned, lost, or recovered properties through prescribed channels. Arranges for the destruction of confiscated property/evidence, including drugs and weapons.
