Pay Range: $20-$25/hourPrimary Responsibilities
  • Assist in pulling fiber optic cable through conduit (underground) or along strand (aerial).
  • Safely handle and transport fiber reels and pulling equipment.
  • Set up and operate fiber pullers, capstans and winches under supervision.
  • Set up safety barriers, signage, and traffic control as needed.
  • Excavate, backfill and compact trenches manually or with equipment.
  • Assist linemen, drillers, splicers, or heavy equipment operators as directed.
  • Haul materials and supplies to and from work areas.
  • Help verify fiber routing and pulling plans before work begins.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company's minimum safety standards.
  • Prior construction or telecommunications experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic construction practices is a plus.
  • Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications (OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Flagging, etc.).
Salary Description $20-$25/hour
