Prolog Software Development Specialist - Cognisol : Job Details

Location: NYC, NY (onsite)

Type: Long term contract

Rate: $45/hr on C2C

We are seeking candidates with strong scripting experience and proficiency in Prolog. The role involves designing and implementing PBAC (policy-based access control) solutions for infrastructure platforms and services, collaborating with engineering teams, developing and deploying integrations, and creating detailed design documentation.

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design PBAC solutions for infrastructure platforms and services.
• Develop, test, and deploy PBAC integrations following policy-as-code and GitOps methodologies.
• Create detailed design documentation and present design decisions to governance forums.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field.
• 7+ years of development experience using Python and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Podman and deploying to Kubernetes (OpenShift/AKS).
• Proficiency with declarative languages like Prolog or Rego for policy-as-code.
• Scripting and SQL skills, including database schema design; PowerShell/Linux shell experience is a plus.
• Understanding of IAM cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP is a plus.

• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Cloud security certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator, AWS Certified Security – Specialty).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across various technologies.
• Experience with PBAC implementation and SailPoint Identity solutions.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
