Project Superintendent position based out of our Houston, Texas location. It is an on-site, traveling role that requires visiting job sites. Candidates must have the right experience in construction job site supervision.
Must have the below Licenses:
- Supervisor License required for work performed on a state-by-state basis.
- For Massachusetts-based projects, MSL License is required.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee a project from turnover through construction, close-out, and final billing.
- Ensure adherence to our processes and procedures, delivering the project safely, on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Initiate, manage, and control all site documentation and information throughout the construction process.
- Provide continuous supervisory support through the completion of the project, including punch list and close-out.
- Manage and supervise day-to-day activities of the project.
- Maintain positive client relationships and communicate complete information to field teams and our management.
- Work collaboratively with PM in analyzing projects to determine scope, develop project schedule requirements, and coordinate purchasing and installation.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment on all projects to ensure our EH&S policies are met or exceeded.
- Review, interpret and execute requirements based on project specifications, plans, and drawings.
- Verify job readiness and coordinate installation of materials for efficient and timely installation.
- Participate with other division personnel in establishing, setting, and attaining goals for the division to improve company performance.
Experience you will need:
- Minimum of Associate's Degree and/or Superintendent Certification required.
- 3-5 years' experience as a lead Superintendent in a commercial and medical facilities setting.
- Supervisor License required for work performed on a state-by-state basis.
- For Massachusetts-based projects, MSL License is required.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- SST Training Required – Site Safety Training as mandated by the City of New York.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (required to qualify as a competent person on site).
- DCAM and public work experience is a plus.
- Cost control and management experience.
- Forecasting and Reporting experience.
- Understanding of contract language and ability to define scopes of work.
- Understanding of typical industry protocols including RFI Process, PCO Process, daily logs, and associated safety documentation.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written.
- Willingness to travel from project to project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Autodesk experience is a plus.
