Floyd Construction is a growing General Contractor and Construction Management Firm specializing in high end community clubhouses, amenities, and commercial construction throughout the greater Tampa Bay, Ocala, Orlando and Sarasota/Bradenton areas since 1984. We are currently looking to fill the position of Project Superintendent. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to grow with us and become a leader in their field. As a project superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, overseeing subcontractors and vendors, material procurement, working with inspectors and municipalities, problem-solving and customer management. If you are detail oriented, like to solve the occasional puzzle, and love to put out a quality product, we have a great opportunity for you. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple construction projects daily
• Schedule, manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers
• Work with customers and design professionals
• Work with building officials and municipalities
• Identify potential problems with plans and specifications and find a resolution
• Procure materials for jobs from various suppliers
• Resolve specification, selection and plan conflicts and design professionals
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing customers
• Perform all other duties assigned

Position Requirements Bachelors degree in related field or Minimum 3 years experience in construction Proficient with Microsoft Platform (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Familiarity with square foot and square yard dimensions Knowledge of Geometry/Math Data entry experience Experience reading construction blueprints Budget Management experience Bidding and plan take-off experience General Knowledge of residential and commercial construction Strong customer service skills Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Cooperative attitude Position Details Job Type: Full-time Hours: 7:00-4:00 Monday-Friday. Please Note: This is a working superintendent role and traveling around Ocala/Tampa Bay/Sarasota area is required. Office Location: Tampa Compensation: Negotiable based on experience Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No Seniority level
